We’ll Leave the Light On
From Motel 6 to Mom and Dad, it’s the phrase that’s helped us feel a little more secure in this big world. Someone’s looking out for us!
Though it may look like a simple thing on the surface, that’s the exact approach Jolt Credit Union of Saginaw/State Street took recently when they updated their 20 year old partial-system generator to a state of the art, whole-facility unit that will keep their lights on and systems running regardless of the weather or other power-outage crisis.
“It brings peace of mind for us and our members. While sections of Saginaw township may lose power, forcing temporary closure of businesses and financial institutions, our sign stays lit and we remain prepared to serve our members well.” – Alan Watson, President & CEO, Jolt Credit Union
These are the critically important commercial jobs that Clements Electric completes throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. “Besides the fact that Clements Electric gave us the best bid, we’ve been working with them on big projects for years, so it was easy to trust their crew to do this project well.” CEO Alan Watson continued, “This story speaks to the quality of their employees:
Most of the generator installation took place over two weekends. As part of the project transition, we were disconnected from Consumers Energy and on the old generator for the weekend. In unison at 9:45 Friday night, every alarm in the building went off and, though we made provisions for a backup generator, we assumed it had failed. Ryan Scherer from Clements Electric met us on site at 10:30p and together we assessed that the generator had not failed but instead some wiring – unrelated to Clement’s project – hadn’t been switched over to the generator setting so all alarm batteries simultaneously drained, triggering the alarms. Not only did Ryan show up and lend his electrical expertise, he finished the weekend by helping with disposal of spoiled food that had been sitting in a warm refrigerator – something no one else thought to do!”
At the end of the day, isn’t it all about looking out for each other?
Rest assured, we’ll keep the lights on for you!
